Glenn Major - Chairman of the Society
For me, a society is strongest when all its members feel both strengthened by strong relationships and shared values, but also celebrated for the individual perspectives they bring. Arriving at Arnold Art Society you’ll immediately be struck by the former, lots of friends pausing for chats and coffee breaks. But look over a few shoulders at their paintings and you’ll begin to appreciate the diversity here. There’s certainly no ‘house style’ at Arnold Art Society! And we vary from ‘haven’t painted since school days’ through to the very accomplished.
It’s not an exclusive club – we welcome the arrival of new members and enjoy the wider community coming to enjoy the range of art we’ve created at our Spring and Autumn exhibitions.
Come and visit when you’re next in search of inspiration!

A workshop demonstration
We hold many varied workshops and demonstrations throughout the year.
Take a look at our diary page to see what is coming up in 2024.
Our exhibitions are held twice a year.
You are welcome to come along to as many events as you are able and support our forthcoming Art Exhibition in Spring 2024.
Meetings are held every Tuesday and Thursday mornings. From September to May we meet on Wednesday evenings during which time we have demonstrations and workshops by professional artists. In the Summer months, sketching evenings are organised.
