In addition to being a member of The Arnold Art Society, Hazel is also a member of The Nottingham Society of Artists. She works with oils, watercolours, pastel and mixed media. Her favourite subjects are Still Life, Landscape and experimental studies. Most of her work is produced for sale but some projects are undertaken just for pleasure. These include sessions of portrait and figure painting with The Nottingham Society. She also takes part in the various projects held on a regular basis by the Arnold Art Society.

The major source of work is a large collection of sketches produced on holidays and outings. These are developed afterwards at home.

Her work is displayed in exhibitions by both societies and she also participates in local competitions and other exhibitions from time to time.
