I have always 'dabbled' with art in various media - watercolour, acrylic, painting on silk, and creating pictures using a combination of paint and embroidery - but in 2007 I decided that I wanted to fulfil my ambition to produce something good enough to exhibit and if I could sell something, then that would be a bonus.
I joined the Arnold Art Society to concentrate on developing my watercolour and acrylic painting techniques, to learn from the many demonstrations and workshops, and just generally improve. I am delighted to have achieved my ambition already, having exhibited in the twice yearly Art Society exhibitions, having some of my work highly commended by the judges and being the proud receiver of the public's most popular picture vote at one exhibition.
