I started painting in acrylics as a hobby when I retired in 1993, but the class I attended closed down and I then joined the Arnold Art Society. After trying different media, I now prefer to work with coloured pencils, and concentrate mainly on small animals, bird and flower picture, often using my own photographs for inspiration. I also belong to the Nottingham Society of Artists , and exhibit in the exhibitions of both these groups
