The above exhibitions have been held by the Society for many years and have always been very popular and well attended by the general public.

However, these are but a few of a varied and very busy schedule of well-organised events and activities that are held and run throughout the year by the Society.

Other events and activities include:

  • Demonstrations and workshops that are given and run by Professional Artists.
  • Indoor painting programme where members gather on a Tuesday and Thursday morning and also Wednesday evenings for leisure painting in a friendly atmosphere.

  • Summer outdoor painting programme where members meet at pre-arranged locations, usually local villages or countryside, and paint or sketch rural scenes.

  • Members’ excursions, usually to Art galleries around the country.

  • Summer school, where members stay at a professionally run and organised venue for leisure painting and tuition in idyllic surrounds.

  • Occasional exchange visits with the Vandoeuvre Art Society, France.
